A singer-songwriter and pianist, Emily Loizeau is part of a new wave of artists bringing a breath of fresh air to the french music scene. Nominated for the Prix Constantin (the french Mercury Prize), she has been one of 2006's revelations, her debut album L'Autre Bout Du Monde meeting both critical and public acclaim.

April 2007 : Emily is invited by Irish artist Duke Special and they both end up recording in the studio a french version of the Duke's "Portrait", to be released in September.
May 2007 : The video of the single "Je suis jalouse", directed by prodigious 19-year old UK director Leo Bridle, gets more than 300 000 views on YouTube in a few days.
June 2007 : Two-week tour in India, alongside french acts Mademoiselle K and Anaïs

Comme le dit la chanson qui donne son titre à son premier album, Emily Loizeau est venue " de l'autre bout du monde " pour signer le premier disque français de la petite histoire de Fargo. En entendant son chant léger, son humour un peu noir et ses piques amusées lancées contre la déjà mythique " Adèle de Bayeux ", Andrew Bird a été séduit et a accepté de rejoindre (en français !) Loizeau pour l'aider à (forcément...) " faire son nid ". Enregistré " comme à la maison ", avec surtout un piano et une voix, L'Autre Bout Du Monde s'impose comme un premier disque de chanson française aux accents anglais qui doit sans doute autant à Tom Waits et Randy Newman qu'à Jeanne Moreau ou Michel Legrand.
